Something similar happened to me for a reservation I have in late October at the Aloft Leawood, KS. That hotel isn't opened yet (or at least it wasn't when I contacted CS).
When I contacted CS through the online chat (last week) to see what happened to my reservation they told me that the hotel's computer systems were starting to take on all of the reservations and that it may take some time for the reservation to show back up. I was told to check back in a couple weeks.
The CS online chat rep had to seemingly look through several different systems before he found my reservation, but eventually he did.

Here is a similarity - Late October and when I booked the hotel wasn't open. Now the hotel is open though. (Think it has been for a couple weeks.)
I talked to a couple CS reps and none could find my reservation and the hotel couldn't find my reservation either so I'm not holding my breath that it's going to be easy to get my reservation back.
