Cusco is a bear of an aiprort to fly in and out of. Picture dropping through heavy clouds covering the top of a barrel (mountains), into the barrel, then down to 'ground' level (12,000 feet?),then flying down a valley, doing a 180 degree turn at the end, and finally a high speed landing, due to the altitude.
Just took this flight the other week. That turn at the end was a new experience for me.
On the LIM - CUZ route, try and grab a window seat on the left side of the plane. If you have a clear day, the mountain views are fantastic.
