Agree with all of the above, except the bit about driving in Italy. Although from the UK, I have driven in France, Germany and also the US, but would be terrified to drive in Italy. It's bad enough just trying to cross the road there! Every other car looks like it's been in an accident! Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast are absolutely wonderful with breathtaking scenery. Positano is a beautiful little town on the Amalfi Coast, so picturesque and Amalfi itself is great. You can tour from the hotel or do these trips yourself on local buses or taxis. Also the trip across to the Isle of Capri is well worth a visit.
