Interesting detail - I had stayed there many years ago (it seems !! ), and didn't recollect what it was like ...

I stayed mostly in the Bellshill Hilton (ex-Stakis) in my time in Scotland.

Sounds like a reasonable place for a GLA weekend ... I'd love to try the soup !!
