Without dragging this out, I will have my final say. Yes, this seems to be an ongoing problem of customer service, not to mention safety, in this "region", "zone", how ever you want to say it. I've have seen these kinds of events before but nothing to this extent. And can't tell you the number of AA employees (some of who work/stationed in these areas) have told me how shameful of what they see.
This poor young man (FA) that came out at MIA to take BPs to get a fully packed flight out on a timely basis (and was very professional and customer friendly the entire long nine hour flight) was almost physically run over by an out of control mob of paxs. There were elderly paxs in F/J that were being pushed aside like spoiled meat by the same crowd. Truly, the management of that area must be lacking in their leadership skills.
Now as a side note. Kudos to that FA. He took the time after a very long flight to speak with paxs in his area about their Rio plans. The Captain gave us a very warm and great welcome to Rio.
