PEK to SHA is mostly domestic C / F. Certainly not the same standard.
Dissenting opinion:

-Hongqiao is absolutely preferable to PVG when you have a choice because it's at least 20 minutes closer in from most points in SH, including Lujiazui
-the argument that PVG has nicer planes doesn't hold a lot of water because for every slick plane, there are two 320s; what's more, there's no shortage of big metal on the PEK-SHA run, including internationally configured 747s/340s
-PEK-SHA has far more flights than PEK-PVG (i.e. at least 3:1), which means it's easier to get rebooked when things don't pan out
-while PEK T2 isn't as nice as T3, it's a whole lot more user friendly (i.e. smaller, faster)
-the same goes for airplanes; IME when the timeliness factor is eliminated from the equation (which, affects all flights equally), 737s are preferable to bigger planes; you get on quickly, peace out for two hours, then escape; there's little glamor to it, but they get you there,... with enough money left in your pocket to get a massage and a nice dinner
