A similar experience, however not quite as bad.................

AC888 YOW/LHR 04 Aug delayed by 14hours and 20 minutes. Reason DLYD DUE CREW CONSTRAINTS ACCT YYZ TSTORMS. - Basically aircraft was in YOW however crew to operate service were from YYZ and could not get to YOW by air due to Thunderstorms at YYZ.

I was also on J booked as a Bmi - British Midland code share.

An over night spent 'land-side' at YOW

I received a reply today explaining that the delays were due to 'Mother Nature' and a credit to my AP account of 5000 non-status miles has been give as a 'goodwill' gesture.

On reflection I might not use a flight again from what AC appear to consider an 'outstation'. -At least I can claim for missed onward connections and extra hotel bills at LHR through my own insurance. Its just the inconvienience of all this.
