Wild guess--because they weren't making any money flying more often
Checking an independent booking engine does confirm that they are only operating on Saturdays at least in October. Didn't bother checking the full schedule. The plane also seems to remain overnight in Lima and fly back during the day, which is a change as well, I believe.
