Help! Calculating mileage towards elite status
Hi all,
Sorry..newbie with Alaska here. I currently have MVP status (matched based on my status with US) and I'm trying to figure out how Alaska calculates their mileage toward elite status.
My understanding is you need 20,000 ACTUAL flown miles on Alaska to achieve MVP status (or 25,000 with the partners). So far this year, I have flown 4,771 actual miles (under Mileage Activity) but it shows (under Elite Tier Status Qualification) that I have flown 7,705. The bonus miles added would be more than 7,705 so I'm not sure where the 7,705 comes from. Perhaps there was a bonus period I wasn't aware of in May and June (when I did fly) that accounts for the difference?
Can anybody help? I plan on flying a lot this Fall so I should be able to achieve MVP status but I'm a nerd and would like to know exactly how much I need to fly to achieve this.
THANK YOU for any assistance you can provide!
Mark
