I specifically choose KE as I was told (in the forum) the seating was better than that of AF so thought we'd give it a go

I think you might be right about the allocation of rows sold by AF, but think I might give them a call anyway.

So you recon it would be better to call AF rather than FB (either way, I don't like get yelled at)?

I called FB last time I couldn't do an OLCI (HEL - CDG with AY on AF Code share) but was bounced around between different call centres (called the number on the back of the FB card) and finally was told that it was not possible

Thanks,

PS. Henry my friend, the old Bushmill has been poured... A few more wee drams and bob's yer uncle
On the back of the card, they print (did on the last issue) three phone numbers. One is FB contact; you want to use it solely for FB matters such as booking awards or complaining about problems with Flying Blue crdits/debits.
The other two are AF reservation center and KL reservation center. The AF number is very good as I seldom wait. This is the number you want to call for anything related to a flight or booking; even changing seats on an award ONCE it is booked, but not changing flights on an award as this must be done through FB. I allaways found the people answering at the AF Elite+ hotline to be very polite and (90%) helpful. Very different staff from the FB folks who are often incompetent (meaning not enough training) and sometimes plain rude. I hope this is helpful.
