Even with incidentals being charged to the room, it likely will not get credit for a stay because it will not have the room rate on the bill. Same for giving your membership number when checking in. I have stayed at hotels during group meetings where the travel planner master bill all the rooms. When I asked at checkout for a receipt, they say there is nothing to print since I had no charges. I insist that they print on their letterhead showing I stayed at that hotel during this date and what my room rate was. This worked in terms of getting credit stay for the Fairmont hotels, did not work at the Montreal Sheraton and Cancun Sol Melia.
I am not sure how you can go around it except to talk to the revenue manager of the hotel when you arrive and explain the situation. Worth a try if the rate is not ultra cheap.
