My son's state school in London organise a staff vs parents cricket match and bbq and sell £5 tickets to raise funds. They used to make sausages and burgers and got about 50 people turning up. Then a bunch of Pakistani and Indian parents took over and started making spicey bbq kebabs and fresh nan and salad. They now get 500 turning up and its the main fund raising event of the year.
