How? Because they are selling F seats? I'd love to see some evidence that upgrades are fewer in a statistically significant manner for any particular person based on the fact that they are more aggressively marketing paid F seats. All the conjecture here is great, but I cannot imagine it is even close to an average of one paid upgrade per flight across the operation on any day. That isn't many affected elites at all in the real world outside of FT.
