Spicy food and BA lounges
I have often remarked (but not on here) that I found the JFK pre-flight buffet dinner often with spicy meal choices. Never really noticed this in the CCR and FLounge at T5, but on my first visit (now) at the T3 Galleries lounge, there appears to be spicy tuna "subs", spicy arribiatta sauce for the pasta, chilli con carne for the rice.
Its is something to do with the personal tastebuds of the lounge management team or do spicy food last longer in exposure lounge reducing the likelihood of food poisoning? Have passenger taste changed in recent times. Spicy foods that may lead to dicky tummies and flying do not really go hand in hand.
Growing up in Malaysia, I like my spicy food but I know many a Brit who had a sheltered childhood have a very conservative view when it comes to food; ie bland!
