Tuesday Sept 8th I'm travelling Air Canada YOW-YYZ-FCO, and I have an 10 hour layover at Pearson (10:00 - 20:05). I booked my flight on Aeroplan points, and this was the best connection that they could offer me. I'm not Prestige, Elite or Super-Elite - I get all my points from the CIBC Aerogold Visa. I called Aeroplan to see if they would sell me a $40 day pass for the Maple Leaf lounge, and they won't because I'm travelling on points. If I had paid for my ticket, even a low fare like Tango or Latitide, I could buy a pass. But since I only spend tens of thousands of dollars a year on my Visa, I'm of no concern.

Does anyone know if any of the airport hotels will rent a room for a half a day? I haven't found anything with Google. Or is there somewhere that I could go? I'm not really keen about going downtown, because a) I used to live in Toronto and have seen the sights; and b) with no subway connection to Pearson yet, I don't want to be stuck on a TTC bus on the 401 if there's a car accident and miss my flight. (I know Toronto traffic all too well. Been there, done that, carved my name in the collector lanes near the DVP.)

I need suggestions for what to do for the better part of a day. Help!

Thanks, Kate
Strip clubs on Airport or Dixie rds!

There is not much to do directly around YYZ..it's industrial and office parks for the most part. I do belive there is a GO Bus to Yorkdale Shopping Center, and I think you will have plenty of time even with a bit of traffic. A solution might be to go somewhere against the flow of rush hour traffic..so when you need to go back you are coming from the west instead of the east in the evening.
