Thanks for the response.

After doing a bit more research it looks like getting a 3 day pass for my one way travel along with the cost of reservations is cheaper than booking the individual segments. It may be because of the 20% off on the pass from the current promotion going on. I'm not sure if I would have to pay for any train supplements though?
