TPJ, I hope you share your experience, with the specific flight and FA details, with customer service at US.
There are US FAs who frequent this board who will know better than I, but I have to believe that the service you received and the behavior of the FAs was well below standard and, and at the very least, a formal complaint should be lodged (hopefully into their individual files).
I have had similar service, but not quite as bad as this, on US Int'l J. It really makes the flying portion of the trip a disappointment. I'm sure the hard-working crew members appreciate things like this being reported, as they cannot like seeing this any more than the customers do.
