I stayed at the Grand Hilton last week, thanks to korea71 and his enthusiastic recommendation. korea71 let the hotel know I am a friend, and perhaps the stellar treatment I received was a result.

On arriving, they immediately got the duty manager who walked me to my room. I had a huge junior suite, room 726. There was a bottle of wine and tray of 4 open faced sandwiches. In minutes, a gift of lavender essence was brought to me. There was also a huge apple, with a note "an apple a day".

The room was extremely comfortable. I am a sufficient computer junkie that I loved having a computer supplied by the hotel. The bathroom could be accesses from the bed area, or from the entry. (It had two access doors.) There was a comfortable seating area. And I overlooked an Asian garden (boulders and raked rock) that was on top of the convention center.

The staff was extremely cordial and sincerely desired to be helpful. At times, their English comprehension got in the way. In the executive lounge, they spoke fluently but did not comprehend fluently.

korea71 had the hotel send me sightseeing brochures before I arrived. Thus, I had in mind what I was going to dfo each day. They booked each tour for me, and I was picked up at the hotel. If I had a halfday tour, they would drop me off at Itaewon but if I had a full day tour, they returned me to the hotel.

I was very satisfied with this hotel, and really appreciate all the help korea71 gave me.
