The Seoul Hiltons

There are 2 Hilton properties in Seoul, South Korea and I recently stayed at both of them.

The Grand Hilton Seoul: About 15 mins from "downtown" area. They have a free shuttle bus to many parts of the city. Hourly during the week and every half hour during the weekend during the morning and afternoon. This is one of the closer hotels to the ICN airport. There is an airport limosuine bus that drops you off at the bottom of the entrance to the hotel. There is a mini-van waiting that will bring you and your bags to the top of a short hill to the hotel and vice versa when you leave. Check in is in the Executive Floor lounge on the 11th floor. They have about 5 restaurants, a cigar lounge, a night club and a evening lounge that has live singers. They have a huge and beautiful lobby. This hotel has treated me the best out of all the Hiltons so far in my history of hotel staying. I had 3 different stays in a 2 week period. I also had 3 different room types.

Very nice room on the Exec. Floor. Free breakfast in rest. during this stay. Free refreshments and snacks throughout the day and a happy hour in the evening. The hotel had a dozen roses ready for my wife in the room which was a nice thought. Excellent Exec. Floor staff that can handle any need.

After my trip to SIN, I returned to the Grand Hilton Seoul to a mini-suite. Very nice room with all the Exec. Floor privelleges.

After sandwhiching a stay at the Seoul Hilton, I returned to the Grand Hilton Seoul for my final night in Korea and I was led to the Executive Suite. This has to be the MAC DADDY of suites. There is a East and West wing, 1 1/2 baths, PC room/study, dining room and 2 living rooms.

The Grand Hilton Seoul has become my favorite when I need to go to Seoul. I have personally been greeted by the Director of Operations there. When he had read an email that I had sent him regarding my disappointment of a current stay in SIN (Conrad and SIN Hilton), he called me from Korea to voice his concerns. This surprised me very much. He is a class act. It is no surprise that the rest of the staff there are excellent.

Located downtown on top of a big hill. I had never stayed here before so I wanted to give them a try. I had a one night stay on the executive floor. Very nice room overlooking the city. My wife loved their ammenities in the bathroom.(Aveda) They also have a free shuttle bus but only to Itaewon and back. There is also an airport limosuine bus that goes directly to the hotel. They also have a huge lobby. Overall, this has a huge hotel feel and I got that "very busy" atmosphere while I was there. There was no PC in the Exec. Floor room and I had to pay to use the PCs in the business center. They did give me 20% discount for being a Hilton Diamond. They have a seperate HH check in next to their main check in area. Their staff is very pleasant.

I will let you decide which my favorite hotel was and I hope I have given some info that was helpful. As always, will try to answer any questions.
