I agree with wharvey. They are not going to let it pass. I gave my certificate when I checked in at the Sao Paolo Hilton and they sent me e-mails weeks after I returned because they misplaced it . They had the nerve to say that I had not given my certificate when I checked in. I called HHhonors Customer Service in the states and they just sent them a copy of it.
I think that the Sao Paolo Hilton staff didn't even notice that they lost the certificate until I called Customer Service the first time. I called to inquire why I had not receive the points from that stay and they got in contact with the hotel.
