Hilton has never been my first choice, but it at least used to be my solid second choice. I will now only pick a Hilton property when there is no Marriott, Hyatt, or Starwood available. So you're not alone in asking this question, and at least one customer thinks that Paris Hilton HAS tarnished the brand, leading to at least SOME lost revenue for the company.

I agree completely with Iceman and have moved all of my stays to Marriott and Starwoods... none of my money is going to support her antics..
