which comes back to my original point of praise for saving a life but it wasn't her job (or using you words which are better "not within the scope" of her employment"), i see a possible "out" for the employee if she does in fact get sued and "good-sam" doesn't help her....the tsa is using their official website to promote the incident so to me, the is an implied approval and acceptance. i'm no lawyer but if i was the tsa employee and i got sued with my employer letting me hang out to dry, that's the first place i'd attack
They wanted to show what their employees are doing when they're not stealing from passengers or bringing guns to work.
