As a Plat who qualified early,I do not have a problem with SPG offering promotions of any kind.Yes a number of Plats are not travelling or have little travel and any specific promo (Double stays as an example) is a bonus and not an entitlement.Lets see if Starwood see this as an opportunity to enhance the program.

I take a firmer view...if you are not travelling...you are not travelling and have not earned status. Gee I have stayed at Hotels this year in NYC where management has told me they have had 40+ Plats on certain nights
