As I recall we went somewhere for drinks/appetizers, another place for a huge meal, then another place for after dinner something. By the time we got home we were stuffed and exhausted, and fell quickly asleep. After that, we realized that you can't do it all in one night. Hawaii is kind of like that. Don't bother with another island this time.
+1. Our very first trip to Hawaii we got engaged. My girlfirend soon to be wife joined me for a long weekend on Oahu after I had been their for a week on business. The next trip after that we packed in 3 islands (Big Island, Maui, and Kauai) on a 12 day trip. We lost a third of the trip to interisland travel and never got setttled in any where. The next few trips we started doing two islands over 13 to 14 days. Now we have settled on staying at two different locations on the same island over 13 to 14 days. 3 nights/4 days is a very small amount of time for Hawaii. Your best way to maximize the experience is to stay on Oahu. There is more than enough to do for 4 days.
