i am a long time guest of this hotel and i can tell you it is one of the finest run hotels in the spg chain. Mr. Chapman is the best GM i have ever encountered and his management team is just as good. I am sure they will be fair with you- if you will be with them. my suggestion is that you ask for regular suite with butler service, breakfast and cocktails. you will be quite happy with this room and the privileges that come with it.

on the legal side you have said it all "a STANDARD room was 6,000 THB, so obviously I had booked an ERROR rate".
