My opinion for what its worth - very little I would imagine

I expect the benefits listed for my level of status and nothing more than that. I really appreciate it when hotels bestow on me something above what I am entitled to. I would be very dissapointed if hotels decided it wasn't worth going above and beyond and just stuck to the letter of the policy. If the occasional upgrade to the Presidential Suite disappeared because people expected the 24 hour Bentley that comes with booking a paid rate for the suite to be also their entitlement as an upgraded guest, it would be a very negative outcome.
