If you come down hard on honest mistakes and oversights airlines will cover up their mistakes instead of self-disclosing as Southwest did in this case and the case with the skin inspections.
Wait a sec, Southwest self-disclosed the issue in this case? Both WSJ articles on this said that an FAA inspector was the one that discovered the bad parts.
