I wasn't speaking for everyone of course. For those of us lucky enough to have the use of a non-UK European address (in my case, my aunt's property in Spain), EuroCheating seems the sensible thing to do if you want status, particularly if, as both you and I do, one pays for every flight out of one's own pocket.

Of course EuroCheating is not for everyone (particularly as you need a valid non-UK European address), but as I don't have a BA Amex and only convert my Tesco Clubcard vouchers once they reach their expiry date (every couple of years when I 'move' back to the UK mid-membership year), EuroCheating suits me down to the ground.
