So whom will the hotel upgrade into this kind of room if not Golds and/or Platinums? And will other kinds of upgraded guests be granted all normal amenities associated with the higher category room type or not?

Anyone know what proportion of this particular hotel's guests at the time of the OP's stay were those booked as part of a package tour group? If those guests get upgraded into the very same kind of room category, will they be entitled to the normal amenities affiliated with the higher category room too?
