They are usually a little better in terms of location(higher floor usually)and do have a few added amenities.

IMO Guava made a huge stink about claiming that things should have been done in a manner to which he was not entitled by his status.

The fact that he has failed to reveal his Gold status even when asked to do so by two posters might lead some to think he knew he was not entitled to certain benefits above those outlined in the program. And some might assume things might have not gone down as stated in his lengthy posts. But as these are recorded calls that is for the folks at starwood to suss out.

I feel the hotel put you in a better placed room then you probably would have gotten otherwise. The fact that it happened to be on a club/executive floor should not not,IMO,give you access to all the benefits associated with that room automaticly.I think, thanks to Guava and other posters who have tried to get exec floor bennies when a hotel is nice enough to upgrade the guest to a nicer room.,that upgrades such as this will be rarer in the future for non Plat Guests.

I do know that if I was cornered by a guest spouting made up rules at me for half an hour, demanding that he was right and I was wrong and being harangued into getting corporate involved, only to have my assumptions reinforced despite the guests protestations-and then to have the same guest harrass other staff members till he got his way----well I would take a pretty dim view of SPG elites in the future.
