shower in the ORD AC? wow, I am so buying an AC membership then! I connect through that airport quite often, and contrary to what ppl say, never had a problem there, had just one significantly delayed departure and it actually helped me since my inbound was significantly delayed arriving due to a mechanical...I love chicago o'hare!
one of these days, I'd like to see an ultimate lounge, a lounge with showers, snacks, wi-fi, computers, sleeping rooms, small lap pools, hot tubs, the bar of course, TV, video game systems, open 24/7, those would be incredibly awesome! I once had a dream where I was in ORD and heavily snowed in for days, and while most of the pax were camping out in the terminal, I just ducked back into the AA Ultimate Lounge (along with some fellow smart travelers who anticipated moments like these) and got a sleeping room and shower room all to myself and to pass the time, decided to just do a couple miles in the lap pool, and then warmed up in the hot tub, and had food at the bar, went into the terminal for some "exercise" came back to the Ultimate Lounge for more relaxing, all for the extra miles I paid for to get into Intl F, the most comfortable delay ever! :-)
sure, alot of young flyers just buy tickets on WN or B6 and when they want to go intl long haul, they find out all those years of buying stuff on WN is no good and didn't really save them much money in the end, while I decided to tolerate the connections on AA and stuck with AA, full fare to cheap Q, and racked up miles to earn intl premium tickets...now that is SMART! Using miles for intl Z tickets has got to be one of the smartest moves a young FF can make...
