Well, hope they won't ...
Noooo... don't give them those sort of ideas

Seriously, I fly BA because as a silver and gold card member (and even before then, although that was pre-9/11 so classed as 'the good old days' ) I have found BA to be, on balance, the most flexible and human airline in the sky. I also confirm that I've never been asked about a KG or 2 over the bag limit, but then again as a GCH I understand that is SOP.

What I mean by flexibility is that BA appear to take into account the fact that the majority of the time I fly J and F with hand luggage only (no more than 15 kg) and don't even use my generous check-in baggage allowance... so the few times a year when I actually have to check something in, or come back from somewhere really loaded, I might choose to take on 20kg as hand luggage, sometimes in more than two pieces. There is PLENTY of space in J and F for it and the cupboards / lockers are clearly strong enough to take it, and I would be very disappointed if I were forced into a discussion with a BA employee about the legality or not of doing this.

Thankfully, this has never yet happened ^ (and I've learned simply not to make eye contact with Mosley's Yellowshirts at LGW and walk past as if they don't exist )
