No Miles When Using Points and Money?????
I am a regular BA flyer who was convinced to try Virgin. I convinced two colleagues to join me and then moved 23,000 miles from AmEx into a Flying Club account. I then purchased three tickets for a little over $1000 each and used 7500 miles each to obtain a Premium Economy ticket. I then learned that none of us would get miles for our flights. Now as best I can tell I saved about $200 per ticket for 7500 miles each AND each of us lost 9000 miles that we would have earned. That works out to about 16,500 miles each for a savings of $200. Is Virgin out of its mind? That's what they do to attract customers? I've had my issues with BA, but this surpasses all of that. First impressions are important and unless I'm missing something, VA is starting off on the wrong foot. Am I missing something?????
