I think the terminals are connected (by an airside corridor as well as the ATS train where one has to exit and re-enter airside.)

You can theoretically see maps and information here, but there are sites like exploringmonkey.com that state T1, 2 and 3 are interconnected.

Showers in ACs I have visited are first come first served in most instances, and contract personnel are usually responsible for cleaning them out after every use, and preparing for the next guest. If Lady JD and I are traveling together, I usually leave USD $5 for that person. YMMV, of course - personal choice, but I really think being able to shower after a transocean redeye is most refreshing and pleasant and worth the tip for a hardworking and most likely underpaid person.

I also abhor using liquid soap dispensers for showers, just a personal preference, so I usually have a small hotel soap bar in a plastic bag with me, as well as my shaving gear, etc.
