When checking in for a domestic flight LHR - NCL at Terminal 5, I was confronted with the first time in flying for over 10 years an agent who said "your bag is 1kg too heavy, you'll have to take 1kg out".

I had flown back with bmi (should I say the only good British airline) from TLV the pervious evening, when I checked in my luggage was 23.5kg, the scales at Terminal 5 said 24kg.

Well, I didn't argue as I know the 23kg limit, but I've also travelled on plenty of occasions with many different airlines and never before have I been asked to take a kg or two out of my luggage.

When did BA start being so mean?
