The Market at the Shangri-La has very good food (and service) as well as surprisingly-reasonable service. Normally I'd avoid it but the restaurant's owner has picked good hands to run the place.

Maenam at the old Gastropod has excellent and pretty authentic Thai food unlike the other Thai restaurants in town (I'd say most of them are Chinese restaurants in disguise).

I'd still say the cuisine at Maurya (Indian food) is superb. Takeouts, if you wish to go that route, are very generous compared to your average Indian restaurant.
