Hitched a ride to AMS. With the advice and encouragement of four colleagues it took the helpful and friendly ticket agent just over half an hour and calls to two different FB agents to cancel the ticket and issue a new one.

The reason for having to go to the ticket desk given by the CrownLounge FB agents (credit card fraud in Africa) proved to be correct, as was their assertion that only the departure hall ticket office could sort the matter out. This is because FB tickets are issued on AF stock, and that ticket office is the only one at AMS that has an AF ticket printer. For administrative reasons, the ticket is first issued as a paper ticket (really, I watched the printer spit out the coupons), and then reissued as an e-ticket.
