I'm not a PLAT, so no self-interest in this, but if this really is a problem for SPG why not do automatic suite upgrades for PLAT members at the time of booking? ICH used to do this for their RAs and I surely hope that they bring it back as it is the only way to make sure their most loyal members get the upgrade they deserve.
