Well, and that's just it. That is the "checks and balance" that is in place.

I am obsessed with my credit score and I HATE the thought of opening up new credit cards. Banks try soooo hard to get your credit card business because quite frankly.. it's tough to get.. But when you have people tripping over themselves to open one so that they can get Bonus miles, well, it makes me scratch my head.... I can understand getting one or maybe two (my wife has one). I just don't see an upside to us closing our accounts every year and opening a new one.
