Well so far all that everyone was afraid of seems to be ONLY their own shaddow(NOT that it wont change).

OK since my stay was for this coming Sun as I posted above, I called guest assistance and asked to speak with the supervisor who was assigned my claim. I did and on the spot(was put on hold a few times) she confirmed the lower price and sent an email confirming the new lower rate as wellas that after the stay is complete a $50 Amex check will be sent to my home.
Checked both yesterday and just now 24 hrs later and both Hilton.com still has the same rates and Orbitz & or Travelweb still show their lower rates. so much for the doomsday thoughts.

By the way DoubleTree in KeyWest,Fl is $99@ Hilton.com and $89.10 @ Orbitz/Travelweb for another claim that was honored and processed.
