No I don't. I take out my belt while in the queue and put it in my carry on. I undo my shoes so that I can easily take them off when near the machine. I hold my jacket and liquids bag in one hand, and my carry on in the other. I don't have a laptop though. My boyfirend does but he comes prepared as well.
