Another interesting anomaly used to be the pricing of economy class tickets which on popular business routes could sometimes be more expensive than CE fares.
The reason? Many companies (certainly the civil service) used to have a policy that employees could only travel economy class.
No exceptions.
This led to the situation where an LHR-xxx (insert CDG, ZRH, AMS, BRU) fare in ET could have been GBP100 (or more) greater than the CE fare.
Don't know if this is still the case? (I certinanly spoke to our CFO and alerted him to this issue and this led to a policy change for us inn situations where we could show that it was cheaper for us to take the higher class).
