I just took CO IAH-BOM in J back in June, and the fare was ~$3600 a/i. However, in order to get that fare, it had to be a 2 week trip. Anything shorter, and it was about $600 more. Fine with me, I spent 4 more days with family.

It may be length of stay that causes the increased price.
