Shhhh - BA has obviously hit on a brilliant innovation here, for boosting profits. Don't breathe a word, or before you know it, other airlines will pinch the idea.

Especially don't tell LH, LX, AF, KL, EK, QR and any of the numerous competing long-haul carriers who dropped their Saturday night hike yonks ago - if they ever had it - and who now get all my money.

How I hope BA knows what it's doing, and that I'll be proven wrong.
