I have had some comments on mine - the seal should be airtight to allow the build up of whatever the explosive gives off. This allows easier detection should the bag be "sniffed" by a machine.
If the seal was sufficiently airtight to permit a build up of whatever is given off, how would the machine be able to detect it, without opening the bag, and allowing the built up fumes etc. to escape?
