Manchester airport now don't even allow their own bags through security!

Quite amusing incident this morning. Flying out of MAN T1 (on my way to CPH to try out Open Doors at the BA lounge there), and I was told at security that my washbag, which is regulation size, wasn't suitable as it had to seal, and mine had a zip. And a zip isn't a seal, I was told, it needs to be a plastic bag (like the ones we sell).

Anyway, after arguing the toss for a moment, the guy gave up rather quickly and told me he was kindly letting me off this once but I needed to sort it out for next time. So I wandered off vaguely perplexed but not overly surprised or annoyed as Manchester Airport does seem to have their own set of rules when it comes to security, as I've had the fun of experiencing before.

However, it wasn't until my usual march through Duty Free en route to the lounge that it occurred to me where I'd bought this particular offending bag, just two weeks prior no less. Where? MAN T1 Duty Free! Priceless!

And here they are, still for sale today:

They really are so confused, the poor little lambs.
