Hi beachfan, I got the exact opposite reply few minutes ago from Easyjet online support.
My question was: Can I book two seats for the same person? If yes: Can I book online and just write the same name on the extra seat or is there a special procedure for booking extra seats? Can I also use the luggage allowance on the extra seat?
Reply from Matthew (Easyjet): You will be able to book 2 seats and put the same name on both of them, but your baggage allowance would stay as 20kg maximum.
My reply: Ok - even though your booking engine will show 40 kg? (not sure - haven't tried though)
Matthew (Easyjet): This wouldn't happen, unfortunately your personal allowance is up to 20 kg and that how it will stay unless you would like to pay for additional kg.
Beachfan: When is/was you flight? - please update us on what happened at check-in.
