Greetings,
I have a (hopefully) quick question on JetBlue's baggage policy in regards to golf clubs. On jetblue.com, the baggage policy states:
Golf equipment is accepted on all flights. There is no additional charge for golf bags as long as they are within size and weight limitations; however, a golf bag will count as one of your checked bags.
Oversized bags are, of course, those where length+width+height > 62 inches. Since modern drivers are about 45 inches by themselves, that makes it virtually impossible to pack even a small golf bag safely in a travel bag and keep the total measurement under 62 inches.
Do they really charge $75 each way for golf clubs? I'm willing to pay the $30 second bag fee, but I'm not willing to pay the extra oversize fee, and I would really hate to get to the airport with my clubs and have no choice but to pay the extra money.
Does anyone out there have recent experience in this area? Thanks in advance for any info.
