This would be interesting, especially from the other side of the pond. Of course, they are generally more limiting anyways with the TATL routes having the higher allowances so maybe it actually isn't all that big a deal for them.
It's worth noting that BA has had a one free checked bag rule for Y pax over much of its network (excluding North America) for some time now, and from October will allow only 1 checked bag on North America flying.
