If they could get rid of the TSA somehow, it might make it worth it (like Era does with their short flights out of ANC).
I'm sure Mammoth Mountain is contractually subsidizing these flights again this year (they did this last year but due to their popularity they didn't need to fork out any cash to AS to cover a shortfall).
The attempted Aspenization of the town/resort continues...
Don't say the ERA thing too loudly, or else SeaPort will try to steal the route. But if you don't like bathrooms, then alright
LAX sucks, but flying into small airports from big ones has significant time benefits to where its practically a part 135 operation with a few rent-a-cops that screen almost near boarding time. So I don't really buy the "its faster to drive" argument.
But perhaps that is just me. Half the amount of time (or better), i'll get on a Q400 to "save the environment" with my 38 seat miles per gallon, being able to drink on the way without being pulled over for a DUI, and not getting in an accident in the process.
Hmm... Two great points-
Drink & fly + better for the enviornment...
Not to mention safer then driving~
